If you know me, you know I’m all about balance—savoring life, enjoying the treats, and never living in restriction mode. But here’s the truth that nobody wants to admit: sometimes, “balance” can get a little blurry.
For me, there came a point where my idea of balance turned into, “Oh, it’s fine, I’ll have the treat,” a little too often. One glass of wine here, a couple of handfuls of snacks there, and suddenly my “balanced” lifestyle was really just…saying yes to everything and feeling off in my own body🥴 (this isn’t always fun to admit, but YES I am human and still struggle with it too sometimes!) I was tired, bloated, and just kind of “meh.”
The wake-up call? I realized I was using “balance” as a permission slip for inconsistency. And honestly, I was over it. I wanted to feel GOOD again. I wanted my energy back, my confidence back, and most of all—I wanted to prove to myself that I could still keep a promise, even when it felt tough.
That’s when the idea for my 10-Day Metabolic Reset was born.

My Favorite Sweet Treat Right Now

Okay, shared this on socials but realized it needs a permanent place on the blog. Here’s my current go-to for when I want a healthy treat that feels a little extra:
Snicker Dates
- 1 Medjool date, pitted and sliced down the middle
- 1 tsp natural peanut butter (fill the date)
- 1 tsp dark chocolate chips (melted and drizzled on top)
- 3g chopped peanuts, sprinkled over
- Flaky sea salt (seriously—it makes it!)
Macros for one: 145 calories | 22g carbs | 6g fat | 3g protein
Takes two minutes, totally kid-approved, and perfect for those “I need something now” moments. I keep a few ready in the fridge and they are perfection!
