Recipe: Hot🔥 Honey🍯 and Ham Breakfast Sandwich (for hot moms💃!)

It’s officially back to school in our household and that means back to chaotic, on-the-go mornings (despite my best efforts to swear this year will be different…LOL mornings are just crazy!!). For week 1 I prepped my go-to breakfast sandwich and have to share it with you guys! You’re going to LOVE this one.

Ingredients are s i m p l e, prep is minimal, macros are phenomenal, and taste is MAGICAL.

A snapshot of the ingredients I use & why-

-> Dave’s Killer products are just too good. I’ve tried to switch it up and try other things and occasionally I do, but I always come back. The ingredients and quality are just unmatched! And they are for a great cause!

-> I get black forest ham from my Kroger deli (Private Selection brand) and I have them slice it thick. I just prefer that on this breakfast sandwich!

-> Laughing Cow cheese is 25 calories for a wedge and SO tasty.

-> Hot honey…I could put it on everything. Enough said.

Why I love this recipe:

  • follows my framework for 30g protein to start your day so you can fire up your metabolism and feel fueled all morning.💪 This is the protocol I used for myself to lose 100 lbs and that my clients and community members use too (especially my ladies in their 40s+!)
  • the Dave’s Killer products are fab so this breakfast gets 3g fiber! Compare labels for your English muffin choices and look for options that have 3g or more fiber (again supporting those fat burning fired up metabolism goals!)
  • SWEET & SALTY!🤤 My fave combo. Truth talk – I am not a sweets breakfast girl. I just don’t love starting my morning with sugary foods (purely preference) as I feel like I end up feeling less satisfied and more hungry faster! This savory breakfast is nice and salty from the cheese and ham with just a touch of sweetness from the honey. The heat from the pepper jack and hot honey are also a nice touch. This breakfast is SO satisfying.

Those last two are SO important during this busy back to school season. I don’t need a complicated breakfast with 1039747 ingredients AND I don’t want to spend even 30 minutes cooking it. Being realistic is key. A few ingredients, a few minutes, boom – done.✅

Onto the recipe…

HOT HONEY AND HAM SANDWICH

1 serving | 326 CALS | 5F 38C 30P 3g Fiber

Ingredients

  • 1 whole grain English muffin (Dave’s Killer brand used in this nutrition info)
  • 1 wedge Laughing Cow Pepper Jack cheese
  • 4.5 oz thick-sliced black forest ham
  • 3g hot honey

 Instructions

  1. Separate English muffin into two pieces and spread cheese wedge onto both sides evenly.
  2. Place half of ham on one side of muffin and other half of ham on other side of muffin.
  3. Place in air fryer and air fry at 400 degrees for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove and drizzle honey on inside of muffin.
  5. Enjoy!

My Notes: These make for a super fast breakfast but you can make it even faster by prepping your sandwich ahead. Just assemble all ingredients, wrap individual sandwiches on foil or wax paper, pull out and heat when ready. I suggest adding the honey AFTER cooking as it will get runny and make a mess. You can also heat in oven for 8-10 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
